Data Deletion — Mailday

Last updated: 2026-05-13

This page explains how to delete your data from Mailday, including data we receive from social platforms you connect to the Service. This Page supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

If you only want to disconnect a single platform (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, X, or Pinterest) without closing your Mailday account, see Section 2.

1. Closing your Mailday account

Closing your Mailday account deletes your workspace data on the timeline described below.

How to close your account

  • Self-serve: in the app, go to Settings → Account → Close Account.
  • By email: write to privacy@mailday.ai from the email address on your Account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

We will confirm the request, verify your identity, and complete deletion within 30 days. You can cancel the request from a link in the confirmation email any time during the 30-day grace period. If you are a Workspace-Managed Member, your Workspace Admin retains administrative access; deletion requests in that case route to the Workspace.

What is deleted

  • Account profile and credentials
  • Workspace content (emails, attachments, uploaded media, workflow reports, AI prompts and outputs)
  • Social-platform data we cached on your behalf
  • Stripe Connected Account linkage (Stripe holds payout/payment records under its own policies — see Section 4 below)

What we retain after deletion

Some data is retained as set out in our Privacy Policy:

  • Trash (recoverable for 30 days)
  • Backups (90 days; then permanently deleted)
  • Email metadata logs (24 months)
  • Audit and security logs (12–24 months)
  • Payment, invoice, and tax records (7 years, as required by law)
  • Aggregated or de-identified data (does not identify you)

2. Disconnecting a single platform

Disconnecting a platform stops Mailday from accessing that platform on your behalf and triggers deletion of platform-cached data within 30 days, except for items retained for security or legal reasons.

Instagram, Facebook, and Threads (Meta)

In Mailday: Settings → Integrations → Instagram / Facebook / Threads → Disconnect.

Direct from Meta: you can also revoke Mailday's access from your Meta account settings:

  • Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → Logged in with Facebook → remove "Mailday"
  • Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → remove "Mailday"
  • Threads: routes through Meta — use the Instagram or Facebook steps above for the connected Meta account

TikTok

In Mailday: Settings → Integrations → TikTok → Disconnect.

Direct from TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions → remove "Mailday".

YouTube

In Mailday: Settings → Integrations → YouTube → Disconnect.

Direct from Google: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Mailday uses YouTube API Services. By using these features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge Google's privacy practices described in the Google Privacy Policy. After disconnection, we delete cached YouTube data within 30 days, in line with YouTube's developer requirements.

X (Twitter)

In Mailday: Settings → Integrations → X → Disconnect.

Direct from X: Settings & privacy → Security & account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → remove "Mailday".

Pinterest

In Mailday: Settings → Integrations → Pinterest → Disconnect.

Direct from Pinterest: Settings → Apps → remove "Mailday".

3. Specific-data deletion requests

If you don't want to delete your entire account or disconnect a platform, you can request deletion of specific data:

  • In-app: select the item (email, workflow, file, AI prompt) and choose Delete. Deleted items go to Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion.
  • By email: write to privacy@mailday.ai describing the specific data you want deleted.

4. Data held by third parties

When you disconnect a platform, we cannot delete data that the platform itself holds. Use each platform's own data-deletion controls for that:

Stripe retains payment and payout records under its own policies for legal, tax, and anti-fraud purposes. Mailday can disconnect your Connected Account, but Stripe's own retention applies. See stripe.com/privacy.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws including the CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, and others — including the rights to access, correct, port, or further restrict the processing of your personal information. See Section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
